ALDI'S Haul!


Yesterday on stories, I shared my recent coffee replacer. I am someone who usually drinks 2-3 cups of coffee a day and I wanted find another way to get a little extra energy. I also wanted to find something that actually has some health benefits. The energy comes from green tea! One can has:

- One combined serving of fruits & veggies

-Excellent source of Vitamin B

-Non-gmo

-No artificial colors or flavors

-Gluten Free

It also comes in Peach-Mango, Orange-Pineapple, Pomegranate-Blueberry and a few others I have seen onAmazon. I got a pack of 6 at ALDI for only $2!!! I think they are usually a little more but they are on sale right now! Below is my ALDI haul from this week.

Dinner Idea 1:

Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry

I mixed together the riced cauliflower and the Asian broccoli blend into a frying pan and cooked it with soy sauce and garlic powder. In a separate pan I browned ground turkey and onions. I stirred the turkey mixture into the riced cauliflower mixture and added a little more soy sauce to taste. Both of my kids loved it!


Dinner Idea 2:

Crockpot BBQ Chicken

This is another easy recipe I just throw into my crock-pot. I mix BBQ sauce, one can of beer and 2 chicken breast into the crock-pot. I found this cooks better on high for 3-4 hours rather than on low all day. I will also roast green beans in the oven with Cavender's greek seasoning.


Dinner Idea 3:

Cheesy Hamburger Boxed Dinner

These might not be the healthiest meals but I love the quickness of it. It is also something that takes no preparation therefore no thinking on my part. We have only had the Cheeseburger dinner kit but they also offer a chicken-alfrado kit that sounds good too. I will also roast green beans to go along with this.


Dinner Idea 4:

Salsa Chicken Tacos

I have shared this SO many times. But we eat this at least once a week. We also usually eat on it the next day for lunch. I throw everything into the crock-pot and cook it all day. One packet if taco mix, one 16oz can of salsa and 2 chicken breast! After it has been cooking all day you can just stir the chicken and it falls apart. No time spent shredding the chicken.
